Byron, CA (November 2, 2026) –As the 2026 irrigation season comes to a close, Byron-Bethany Irrigation District (BBID) is coordinating with growers to wrap up water deliveries and prepare irrigation systems for upcoming maintenance.
Schedules vary by service area:
- West Side Service Area: The irrigation season ended October 31.
- Byron Service Area: Most growers are expected to complete irrigation by the end of the week of November 9. District staff is working with a small number of growers who may need deliveries later in November for garlic and strawberries.
- Bethany Service Area: Irrigation could conclude by November 3 or 4, or earlier. Staff is working directly with growers to finalize the shutdown date.
- Plain View Service Area (CVP): Water service continues year-round to meet municipal and industrial needs.
Growers with questions about final deliveries or shutdown schedules should contact District staff. Thank you for your cooperation as we complete another irrigation season and prepare for the year ahead.
